UPSC Civil Services Examination
The UPSC CSE is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and over 20 other Group A and Group B Central Services. The examination has three stages: Preliminary (objective), Mains (descriptive), and Interview. This platform focuses on the Preliminary stage, which consists of two objective papers — GS Paper 1 (100 questions, 200 marks, covering History, Polity, Geography, Economy, Environment, Science, and Current Affairs) and CSAT Paper 2 (80 questions, 200 marks, covering Reading Comprehension, Basic Arithmetic, and Reasoning). Both papers carry negative marking of one-third the marks per wrong answer.
SSC CGL — Combined Graduate Level
The SSC CGL is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit eligible graduates to various central government positions including Inspector of Income Tax, Assistant Section Officer, Auditor, Accountant, Sub-Inspector (CBI/CBN), and many more. The Tier-I paper consists of 100 objective questions across four sections — Quantitative Aptitude, English Language & Comprehension, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness — each carrying 25 questions worth 50 marks, for a total of 200 marks. Time allowed is 60 minutes, with a negative marking of 0.50 marks per wrong answer.
